Russell Gottschalk, Membership Chair
Native Atlantan, Emory alum (’07 BA Film and Music), and founding director of the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival (AJMF, now known as Neranenah), Russell Gottschalk has always shown an interest in creation whether it is art, a business, or community. Now as Director of Operations and Market Awareness at Distillery of Modern Art (DoMA), he is thrilled to provide operational expertise and creative direction for one of the South’s fastest-growing craft spirit brands. At work and in the neighborhood, Russell is passionate about collaboration, data-driven decision making, and maintaining a curiosity about others’ lived experiences.
Russell is an alumni board member of the American Jewish Committee’s Atlanta office and remains active in many Jewish spaces including Tish, Ma’alot, and Congregation Shearith Israel. He enjoys volunteering with Concrete Jungle and Propel ATL (formerly the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition) in addition to regular disc golf outings with his friends. Russell lives on Yorkshire with his wife, Mimi, their son, Irving, and their fur baby, Berry.
